Water left in the drum at the end of a cycle is one of the most common Beko washer faults. Most of the time it's a blockage you can reach, but sometimes the pump itself has stopped.
Possible causes
- Pump filter blocked with lint, coins or buttons
- Kinked or blocked drain hose
- Blocked house drain or connected sink
- Failed drain pump or jammed impeller
- Faulty water-level sensor
Safe first checks you can do
- Unplug and place a tray and towel under the lower front cover
- Open the pump filter slowly, clean it and refit it firmly
- Make sure the drain hose isn't kinked and is fitted at the right height
- Run a drain & spin-only programme after cleaning

When do you need a technician?
If you've cleaned the filter and hear a hum without draining — or no pump sound at all — the pump or its supply needs testing with a meter.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I clean the filter?
Roughly every one to two months with normal use, and right away if draining slows down.
Will water come out when I open the filter?
Yes, possibly a lot if the drum is full, so open it gradually over a shallow tray.
