Where the leak appears points to the cause: the door front, underneath, the back or the detergent drawer. Identify the location first, and dry the floor right away to avoid slipping and electrical risk.

Possible causes

  • Damaged or dirty door gasket (the most common front leak)
  • Pump filter not closed tightly
  • Too much detergent or non front-loader detergent
  • Blocked detergent drawer
  • Cracked internal hose or loose connection
  • Worn pump or tub seal

Safe first checks you can do

Safety: unplug the appliance and close the water tap before any check, and never open the outer casing or electronic boards yourself.
  1. Clean the door gasket and look for tears or trapped objects
  2. Make sure the filter cap is tight
  3. Clean the detergent drawer and reduce the dose
  4. Check the rear hose connections

When do you need a technician?

If the leak is underneath and its source isn't visible from outside, it's internal and needs a technician to open the casing.

Frequently asked questions

Can just the door gasket be replaced?

Yes, it's a separate part; the clamp ring and drum lip are checked at the same time.
